Blueair Blue Pure 311i Max Air Purifier Review: Would Owners Buy It Again?
Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through links on this page we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. How this review was made: We did not test this purifier in person. This verdict is based on two independent lab-style tests (HouseFresh and Reviewed), listed at the end. We could not find a rigorous multi-year durability study, so long-term reliability is not covered. Our method.
A strong particle cleaner for small to mid rooms, if odors are not your main worry
Both independent testers we read found the 311i Max very good at removing fine particles such as smoke, dust and pollen, while staying fairly quiet at low speeds. The app works well. The catches are modest chemical and odor removal (no pelleted carbon bed), an ionizer that cannot be turned off, and filters that need replacing every six months or so. For particle-focused buyers it looks like a purchase people would repeat. Evidence is limited to two testers, so treat it as a solid but not exhaustive picture.

- want to cut dust, pollen, pet dander and smoke particles
- need a quiet purifier for a bedroom or living room
- like controlling a purifier from a phone app
Skip it if you…
- mainly want to remove cooking odors or chemical gases
- want to avoid ionizers entirely
- want the cheapest possible filter upkeep
The Blueair Blue Pure 311i Max is a compact, app-connected HEPASilent air purifier with washable fabric pre-filters and an automatic mode driven by a built-in particle sensor.
We combined two independent tests with specifications. Where the evidence is thin we say so.

How it holds up over time
